A-Roll

 What is the difference between A and B roll?  Why is B-roll needed?

A-roll is the main footage that you'll use for your documentary. It's the interview footage. B-roll is supplementary to A-roll. It's needed to hide the cuts of the audio, and fill in the video to help viewers visualize your story/the unfolding of events.
